Front End Development

The client’s were solely using social media to translate travel content to their followers but they had several pain points with Instagram's UI:

+ Caption length became restrictive in their ability to share full-length travel guides. Constant copy revisions and editing made them feel as if they were compromising on the true essense of the guide’s intent.

+ Interface catered more so to vertical orientation photos and was restricted to of 10 maximum images per post

Transitioning the client’s content to a website platform would provide their users with endless scrolling, offer them the ability to grasp the full picture of a place or experience and provide the opportunity to share a vast amount of photos within each guide.

Mobile Responsive

Visual Identity System

The brand voice was fun, adventurous, and edgy. Working from the client’s handwriting, I translated the brand name into a screen-ready format that considered both legibility and readability.

With colorful, high resolution photography being the 'bread and butter' of their brand, the logo’s color palette of black and white palette served as a clean and classic compliment to their content.

+ Final typography inspired by client’s handwritten type while maintaining legibility and readability

+ White fill and Black stroke wordmark paired well with the client’s vivid imagery

+ Continuity in web and social where imagery takes center stage juxtaposed with the simple, fun bubble letterforms
